Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again. By the way i dont have any Wi-Fi, i want to use 3G.. I just got my Bold a few days ago, so I'm still new to the whole blackberry thing.

For whatever reason my phone hasn't been able to connect to the internet all day. The weather eye app just hangs for minutes when selected.

The score mobile app just says no data available, connection method BIS. Has this happened to anyone else? Are there some settings I should try changing? Should I call my carrier for help? Is this just some temporary outage? I have blackberry service on my account - I am able to access the internet but my cannot connect to blackberry internet service so I can use facebook add on, instant messenger and personal email. Trackpad good : the absence of a trackball is noticeable. So, how does the trackpad compare to the trackball? At first I thought that the trackball was better, but not by much. It just seemed more accurate. However, after a few days, I had adapted to the trackpad.

The buttons seem more sturdy and shock-resistant top, bottom. Misc : the side buttons volume… are much more integrated to the body. The overall design seems more sturdy, and less prone to get dirty from dust in the pockets. The buttons are a little harder to find in the dark because they are more recessed, but overall, I consider this new design to be an improvement.

Finding and calling a contact is very easy as you just need to type the first few letters of a name. Dialing is also as easy, even if the numeric keys are grouped tightly, which makes it harder to use when not looking at the keyboard driving. The audio quality is very good and the volume level is relatively loud, for a smartphone. The speaker is quite loud as well, and is one of the best that I have tested recently.

Finally, the has visual voicemail with T-Mobile. The application is quite basic and not sexy at all, but it is certainly good enough for its purpose and much better that the dumb sequential voicemail. If you are not familiar with the idea, this means that the phone can use an internet WiFi connection to communicate with T-Mobiles network.

When calling via UMA, the voice data is transported via internet to the T-Mobile network, that then uses its normal cellular network to transport it to the final destination the person that you are calling. UMA is truly awesome. Now, it turns out to be their most formidable feature in my view , but yet, one that very few consumers know about.

T-Mobile did an increadibly poor job of communicating it. All times are GMT The time now is PM. In the list of discovered devices, select your Mac. Your Mac and your Blackberry should now display the same number. If they do display the same number, click the button that acknowledges that fact on both your Mac and your Blackberry. Unfortunately, the existing dial up networking scripts that are available for tethering out-of-the-box on the Mac will not work correctly with the Blackberry.

I tried everything I could think of, and I finally realized that I needed some new dial up networking scripts for tethering to my Blackberry. I have included a link to the necessary scripts below. Newer Post Older Post Home.
